Flock Yes
This dish was so flavorful! The chicken was well seasoned and had a great crunch. I loved the combination of textures - crunch of the chicken, softness of the biscuit, creaminess of the egg yolk...I would definitely order this again!
Those Buns Dough
They are the reason I come to the Mockingbird brunch!! One time I came for my birthday, and these buns were better than the cake I had later that day. You gotta try these buns!!!
Vegan Burrito
Stumbled across Mockingbird on a Sunday morning without reservation but they managed to squeeze us in for brunch. I'm so glad they did because I got to try this delicious plant based burrito. Paired it with a bloody mary and it was the perfect meal. Note this is not for the cilantro adverse!
Pasta la Vista
This pasta is a MUST try! The flavors are immaculate together. The goat cheese just topped it off! It is incredible every time I order it!
Don't Worry, Brie Happy
These were amazing! Next time I am going to order these with fries for my meal. The fries and really unique with paprika and sesame seeds and an incredible garlic aioli.
Mockingburger
This is by far my favorite brunch spot in Nashville! And I've tried them all. Our party of 10 ordered about every item offered on the menu and everything was absolutely delicious. Driving two hours to revisit just 2 weeks later because we are all craving the food. 10/10
Pie
Everything we had for dinner was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and we generally enjoyed our whole experience at the Mockingbird. That said, dessert was definitely the best part. The almond custard pie is really something special. The crust is just perfect. It's slightly sweet and has a delightful texture. The filling is decadent and creamy and smooth, with a great almond taste that isn't overwhelmingly sweet. It was served with a bit of orange curd that added a nice complimentary flavor without overpowering the almond. I give it a 10 out of 10.
The Bird is the Word
This dish. Honestly didn't know you could put comfort and happiness on a plate, but The Mockingbird did it. Chicken thighs are the best but fry them in delicious crispy batter and top it all off with mashed potatoes and chorizo gravy! Be still my heart! (no really, that's one you eat and maybe do a little cardio after.) But cardiac health aside - get this dish. You won't be disappointed. Also the Adult Drink Pouches are the best and make you feel a little bit younger with each sip. (could be the booze, but its fun either way). Service is top notch and accommodating. We had a bit of a mix up on our reservation (my fault) and they made it work and everyone enjoyed the evening. Will be back.
The Bird is the Word
My wife and I had an absolutely amazing meal to celebrate a special occasion. From the hostess, to our server and especially to our meal, everything was fabulous. The Mac n cheese was heavenly, my wife said she could understand why their burger was rated number 1 in Nashville, and the chicken thighs were out of this world with flavor. When we are back in town, we will definitely be back!!
You Oughta Burrata
This was incredible! The whole atmosphere of the place was great, and the menu was so unique. We ordered about 8 dishes, and this was my favorite, but I loved everything I tried!
